Access online resources

Terms of acces

All the library's online resources are accessible to all readers via the library network.

Outside the library, free resources remain accessible to all ("FREE ACCESS" in the records). Resources purchased by the library or acquired under a national licence are remotely accessible to EFA employees, members and former scientific members ("CONTROLLED ACCESS" in the notices). Heads of mission and programme leaders may also request remote access to resources.

If you are unable to access controlled-access resources even though your status at EFA should entitle you to do so, please do not hesitate to contact the library staff (bibliotheque @ efa.gr).

How to access resources

All online resources are described in the library catalogue.

They can be found by searching the catalogue, possibly filtered by "Online resources".

or by launching a search after selecting the "online resources" sub-catalogue:

or by specifying in the "Availability" section that you are looking for an electronic resource:

A resource can be accessed from its full record:

Click on "Consult full text" in the white box under "Consult online". Note that the link may also bear the name of the platform where the resource is accessed or the name of the collection to which the resource belongs.

If you are in the library, you will go directly to the resource.

If you are not in the library, the link will take you to an authentication stage.

Remote access to controlled-access electronic resources

The identifiers to be entered are the same as those used to access your reader account in the library catalogue:

Username = your library card number
Password = the one given to you by the reception staff when you registered or the one you entered yourself in the catalogue (if you changed your password as recommended).

If your reader account does not give you remote access to paying electronic resources, the system will not recognise your login details:

If your reader account entitles you to remote access to paid electronic resources, you will be able to access the resource. This may take a few seconds.
